[00:34] Bobby: We took a week off. We went on vacation. Not together.

[00:38] Jason: No, spent our time with our respective wives.

[00:42] Jason: Believe it or not, I know you guys probably think we were sitting around in our Wham! T-shirts, and him and I are just, you know.

[00:47] Bobby: Our Bad Boy T-shirts, our Choose Life T-shirts, just watching Wham! videos.

[00:53] Jason: No, but that’s not the truth, we’re not doing that. It is funny, though.

[00:54] Bobby: Well, we do it on occasion.

[00:56] Jason: Yeah, we do chill out and we watch. But this time we have, like, nachos and beer.

[01:01] Bobby: So where did you go? What did you do?

[01:03] Jason: I just spent some time with the wife. We went out and did a little desert stuff, and caught up on stuff at home. We really didn’t do anything too vacationy because we live in vacation land. If anybody’s ever been out here, we do do a couple little things here and there, but her and I spent a lot of time together, and did some things that she wanted to do, and went out to the desert out around Phoenix.

[01:26] Bobby: You ever do the Red Rock out there? Red Rock Canyon, there’s some really good trails.

[01:30] Jason: Dude, we did a photo shoot there, man.

[01:32] Bobby: We did.

[01:33] Jason: Come on, man.

[01:33] Bobby: We did. You all right over there? I’m having a glitch. Well, I did the opposite, I went to a tropical place. I went to Southern California, I went to Laguna Beach. One of my favorite spots, it’s just picturesque, it’s like paradise.

[01:49] Jason: Never been, I’ve never been there in the United States.

[01:52] Bobby: Sweet, so yeah, good time.

[01:54] Jason: That’s cool. All right, you had a little California action there. Hopefully everybody out there, you guys had a nice time. Sorry we just dropped it on you like that. Did you guys miss us? Did you really miss us? Well, we missed you guys.

[02:06] Bobby: We did miss you guys.

[02:06] Jason: Me too. I’ll tell you something funny, too, you watched the Emmys, right? Did you watch the Emmys? Did you see the open intro?

[02:14] Bobby: Are you talking about the Stranger Things?

[02:16] Jason: No, I’m talking about where they did, you didn’t see the opening? I was up in my office, and the wife calls me, and she goes, “Honey, you gotta watch this.” And I come downstairs, and it was frigging Jimmy Kimmel, and I forget who else it was. They were doing the Wham! video, they were doing Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. They did the whole thing.

[02:43] Bobby: Do you know what I thought you were talking about? The Stranger Things cast, they did a song, the three of them, the Bruno Mars song, Uptown Funk. Yeah, and it was really cool, did you see that?

[03:00] Jason: No, I didn’t, I really wasn’t watching. I’m gonna have to watch it.

[03:03] Bobby: Since you’re a big fan of that show.

[03:04] Jason: So you’ve got something to watch, and I got something to watch.

[03:07] Bobby: I do, I need to see that intro.

[03:08] Jason: So yeah, that was a little ’80s throwback right there. But I’ll tell you, I know everybody out there’s watching it too, Mr. Robot, man. Rami Malek, I think I’m saying his name, I’m probably butchering it.

[03:19] Bobby: No, you got it.

[03:20] Jason: Did I do it right? That guy, man, ever since I saw him in Band of, what was it, The Pacific, he was in The Pacific on HBO.

[03:25] Bobby: He’s good, and he won, he won an Emmy.

[03:27] Jason: It’s crazy, he won an Emmy.

[03:28] Bobby: I mean, he’s on fire.

[03:30] Jason: It’s not crazy, have you seen that show? You haven’t seen it, have you?

[03:33] Bobby: I haven’t, I’ve seen clips.

[03:35] Jason: Man, I’m telling you.

[03:36] Bobby: I know, I’m behind, man, I gotta get my shit together over here.

[03:40] Jason: ‘Cause we’re recording this on Wednesday, so tonight is gonna be the finale. The last one I saw was, they had, like, a Commodore 64, they had the disk drive, and I’m there poking my wife going, “Honey, I used to have one of those, I had one of those.” And she’s like, “What are you talking about?” She’s like, “Yeah, you’re such a nerd.” And I’m like, “I know, but I had those.” Oh, man, so the ’80s stuff all over the place in that, even from the graphics. But sorry, I have a lot of energy, Bob, I have a lot of energy.

[04:06] Bobby: You do. Well, speaking of the ’80s-

[04:08] Jason: Go ahead.

[04:08] Bobby: I gotta go here, I gotta, this thing went viral, and I know you know what I’m talking about.

[04:16] Jason: I don’t know.

[04:16] Bobby: Corey Feldman.

[04:17] Jason: Oh my God, yeah.

[04:19] Bobby: I mean, I know everybody listening to us right now saw this performance that he did on the Today Show. He sang a song called Go For It, and he did this bizarre dance thing, I don’t even know how to describe it.

[04:36] Jason: He’s on some whole other wavelength.

[04:37] Bobby: And he had these angel dancers, he calls them his angels, and man, it was weird.

[04:45] Jason: It was strange, it was Stranger Things.

[04:48] Bobby: It was. I mean, Corey’s a great, great actor from the ’80s, a big icon, but I’m not sure what he was going for there.

[04:55] Jason: Me either. Maybe the hanging out with Michael Jackson rubbed off on him, you know what I’m saying?

[04:58] Bobby: Well, he hung out, he was hanging out with Michael Jackson back in the day as a kid, and you could definitely see the influence in his moves. But I’m not sure it’s working.

[05:11] Jason: Well, the whole backlash with it, and the fact that he was crying after the fact.

[05:15] Bobby: Bro, that part I don’t, the bullying and the cyberbullying, it was kinda like another Leslie Jones situation, it really got out of hand, and in a way I felt sorry for him.

[05:27] Jason: Yeah.

[05:27] Bobby: ‘Cause he’s a very sensitive dude, and look, he was trying to do his thing and, you know, it just didn’t work.

[05:34] Jason: It just didn’t work, you know? And the people, you look at Corey Feldman, and he’s an actual, 100%, to-the-bone ’80s guy.

[05:43] Bobby: He really is, man, he is, he’s Mr. Goonies.

[05:45] Jason: Come on, yes, Mr. Goonies. And like you said, he’s trying to do his thing, and he’s always been a little out there, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

[05:53] Bobby: Yes, he has.

[05:55] Jason: But if you’re out there and it doesn’t appeal to people, by being brave and going out there and doing stuff like that, kinda like how you and I did some crazy stuff back in the day, you put yourself out there.

[06:08] Bobby: I mean, I give him kudos for doing it and trying, and hey, maybe he’ll do better next time.

[06:16] Jason: Well, he can’t do any worse, can he?

[06:20] Bobby: So that was an edit. Yeah, we had to stop, I had to see what you were talking about. So we went on YouTube and we just watched this Jimmy Kimmel intro, and that was golden, you were right.

[06:31] Jason: Wasn’t that good?

[06:32] Bobby: I mean, bro, that was so, he had the beard, he had the shirt, he even had the hands up on the shoulders all tight.

[06:41] Jason: He had the physique.

[06:42] Bobby: From being in his 40s, I guess, he’s snapping those fingers, wake me up before you go go, that was awesome.

[06:47] Jason: That was pretty cool.

[06:48] Bobby: That was awesome.

[06:49] Jason: So there you go, there’s a little something, something.

[06:51] Bobby: Well, we’re talking about the Emmys, right? Can I bring up my jackass of the week?

[06:59] Jason: Oh, you got a jackass? All right, well, mine goes right in the-

[07:06] Bobby: Since we’re- All right, so like I said, we’re talking about the Emmys, and my jackass isn’t actually a person.

[07:23] Jason: Oh, you’re getting a little meta.

[07:24] Bobby: Yeah, so the Twitter handle is the Television Academy. They have a Twitter, and they welcomed Cuba Gooding to the Emmys red carpet, but they posted a picture of Terrence Howard.

[07:36] Jason: Oh my God.

[07:37] Bobby: I mean, come on, how fucked up is that?

[07:39] Jason: Oh my, it’s like when they get Laurence Fishburne and Samuel L. Jackson mixed up.

[07:44] Bobby: I mean, they’re a big enterprise and they mixed that up, so yeah, they’re my jackass of the week.

[07:52] Jason: That’s just like somebody being lazy, you know what I’m saying? Whoever the assistants are and the PAs are and whatnot, that’s just lazy, man, come on.

[07:59] Bobby: Yeah, man. Poor Cuba. Jackasses. So I wanna talk about last, was it, no it wasn’t last week, two weeks ago we talked to our good friend.

[08:09] Jason: Vacation Brain.

[08:10] Bobby: I know, Vacation Brain, Vacation Fart, Vacation Glitch. It’s a glitch, you know, people are looking for glitches, but they haven’t found any in the last, last week there was no glitch, you know why?

[08:21] Jason: Because it was all Heather.

[08:22] Bobby: There was no show. That’s right, there was no glitch because there was no show.

[08:27] Speaker: Some people are really fucking stupid. Did you ever notice that, how many really stupid people you run into during the day? Goddamn, there’s a lot of stupid bastards walking around. Carry a little pad and pencil with you, you wind up with 30 or 40 names by the end of the day. Look at it this way: think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are stupider than that.

[08:55] Bobby: Awesome. So anyway, we were talking to Heather a couple weeks ago, Princess, and I thought we had a great conversation.

[09:02] Jason: Yeah, I went back and listened to it, you listened to it again, right?

[09:04] Bobby: Yeah, I always listen to the shows afterwards, and they had a nice flow, and it’s amazing what a fan she is of Prince, she loves the guy.

[09:12] Jason: Yeah, she does, she’s the Wikipedia of Prince.

[09:15] Bobby: I would think that, they’re having a tribute concert in October.

[09:19] Jason: Oh, let’s get tickets.

[09:20] Bobby: Bro, let me tell you, the tickets sold out in less than a minute.

[09:25] Jason: Well, I’m not surprised.

[09:26] Bobby: And this is a big show, I’m not surprised, they’re gonna have Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, and Doug E. Fresh.

[09:36] Jason: Oh, yeah, Doug E. Fresh, wait, did he do a song with Doug E. Fresh? I don’t know.

[09:40] Bobby: I don’t know, but Doug E. Fresh is cool, man.

[09:42] Jason: Yeah, I like Doug E. Fresh too.

[09:42] Bobby: He’s big time ’80s, he’s one of the originals.

[09:46] Jason: Wow, that is, like, teen club ’80s.

[09:48] Bobby: And of course, Morris Day and The Time are gonna be there.

[09:50] Jason: What?

[09:51] Bobby: And I love those guys, I love, Morris Day always cracked me up, just the way he was.

[09:58] Jason: The personality, him and Jerome.

[09:59] Bobby: Yeah, exactly, Jerome. He’s just sarcastic and just a funny dude.

[10:04] Jason: That’s gonna be a great night, and I can understand how the tickets sold out.

[10:08] Bobby: Well, I guess we’ll have to watch it on YouTube.

[10:09] Jason: Yeah, maybe we can get, watch it on YouTube and get Heather to give us her review of it.

[10:13] Bobby: I wonder if Princess is going.

[10:15] Jason: Hmm, that’s a good question, I’m gonna find out. Princess, let us know if you’re going. Now, Bobby and I do hang out, we hung out during vacation time, it wasn’t all in the desert wandering, it wasn’t all partying out in Laguna Beach with all the fun people.

[10:29] Bobby: We do like to eat.

[10:30] Jason: Yeah, we like to eat, and you’re a big fan of Olive Garden.

[10:34] Bobby: I’m actually not a big fan of Olive Garden, but I heard about this all-you-can-eat pass that they were selling.

[10:42] Bobby: So I said, “Jason, let’s take a ride, let’s go grab a pass.” Because it’s, like, seven weeks, you spend, like, $100 and get seven weeks of pasta, all you can eat. Now imagine the calories after seven weeks, you probably will become a second person.

[10:59] Jason: Yeah, we would look like those guys in Jimmy Kimmel and Ben Gordon in those Hawaiian outfits.

[11:05] Bobby: So anyway, we went over to the local Olive Garden in the hopes of grabbing a $100 pass, and guess what? Those things sold out within, like, minutes.

[11:16] Jason: Just like Prince tickets?

[11:17] Bobby: Yeah, just like the Prince tickets, and there’s no luck. So I went on eBay, I said, “Okay, I’ll grab one on eBay.” And I found a listing, and the pass was $4,200.

[11:28] Jason: Whoa.

[11:29] Bobby: I mean, come on, bro, I can’t eat enough pasta to spend $4,200.

[11:32] Jason: I know what they’re doing, it’s seven weeks, right, seven days a week.

[11:37] Bobby: Right.

[11:38] Jason: It’s 42 days. So they’re charging 100 bucks per day.

[11:44] Bobby: That’s insane, you’d have to eat so much pasta you’ll explode.

[11:47] Jason: Which would turn out to be $33 per meal if you go there breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.

[11:51] Bobby: Do you remember that movie, I think it was in the ’80s, Monty Python, The Meaning of Life? Do you remember the guy who overate and he exploded? And he’s sitting there at the table with his ribs, and his heart’s beating, and you see it, he’s still alive, and he’s just chilling.

[12:06] Jason: That’s the guy from the all-you-can-eat forever.

[12:08] Bobby: That’s what happens if you go there every day for seven weeks and eat three times a day, you will explode.

[12:15] Jason: Oh my God, already I feel, you just made me a little nauseous thinking about it. But Olive Garden’s good, I like Olive Garden, and the other place I kinda like is we’ve been to, Maggiano’s on the strip, the Fashion Show Mall.

[12:26] Bobby: Maggiano’s is good stuff, man, the Maggiano’s is back in Philly too.

[12:29] Jason: Yeah.

[12:30] Bobby: I’ve seen them back-

[12:31] Jason: But they don’t have the view like the Strip.

[12:32] Bobby: No, man, you can see the wind right from there.

[12:36] Bobby: And also, I don’t know, Jason, if you know this, but Maggiano’s is gonna be opening up very soon in downtown Summerlin, so we won’t have to drive, like, three minutes.

[12:46] Jason: Next to Dave & Buster’s.

[12:47] Bobby: Yeah, Dave & Buster’s just opened, Vegas is always growing and evolving, there’s just endless things to do here.

[12:55] Jason: People just think you hang out on the Strip all day long, it’s just not true. I’ve been back east a couple times and they’re like, “Vegas,” so they look at me and I’m like I’m partying every night, like, “Ah, Nia!” I know, right? You know, MGM, and Wet Republic, those are all clubs down here.

[13:08] Bobby: Right.

[13:09] Jason: Big clubs, but it’s the suburbs, we- it’s really the suburbs.

[13:12] Bobby: Yeah, we do have the suburbs, and out here in Summerlin it’s very, you feel like you’re probably about 10 to 12 miles from the Strip, but you feel like you’re in another place.

[13:21] Jason: Yeah, you’re just down the street from Red Rock and whatnot.

[13:24] Bobby: And everything you want and need is within five minutes.

[13:29] Jason: Yeah. See, we’ve been getting a lot of emails and whatnot on the site asking us about Vegas, saying there’s a lot of people who haven’t been out here. And Bob and I have been thinking about, let us know what you think, maybe doing a couple things here and there around Vegas, doing some Vegas stuff for the people who haven’t been here.

[13:48] Bobby: Like the awesome pizza.

[13:49] Jason: Yeah, so you can see Vegas a little bit through our eyes, we do get out and about, and we get our Ocean’s 11 on every once in a while.

[13:58] Bobby: Yeah, man, I don’t know if everybody knows, but all the Ocean’s 11 movies, 12, 13, they’re all shot here in Vegas.

[14:05] Jason: Yeah, we can go every place, we’ve been there, the fountains at the Bellagio and whatnot.

[14:12] Bobby: Yeah, man.

[14:13] Jason: We get all a little dressed up, bring the wives out.

[14:14] Bobby: Speaking of Ocean’s 11-

[14:16] Jason: There’s gonna be another one?

[14:17] Bobby: Well, there’s gonna be one with women.

[14:20] Jason: Oh, like the Ghostbusters.

[14:25] Bobby: But that’s not where I was going. One of the stars, Brad Pitt, he’s been in the news.

[14:31] Jason: Oh, yeah, I’m sure you’ve heard.

[14:32] Bobby: Him and Angelina Jolie are getting a divorce, and oh, man, I’m gonna cry.

[14:40] Jason: Oh, no, tissue, I need some-

[14:44] Bobby: I’m just feeling so sad about it.

[14:45] Jason: He actually is crying out there, people. Is this our gossip guys segment? It’s the gossip guys segment.

[14:51] Bobby: We are the gossip guys, I think the whole show’s gossip.

[14:53] Jason: Me too, it’s just whatever’s on our minds comes out of our mouth.

[14:55] Bobby: But anyway, they’ve been married only two years, but they’ve been together a lot longer than that.

[14:59] Jason: Since Mr. and Mrs. Jones.

[15:01] Bobby: Exactly, I think that’s where they fell in love. But remember, he was married to Jennifer Aniston.

[15:07] Jason: Yeah.

[15:07] Bobby: And he pulled a dick move.

[15:09] Jason: That was a total dick move.

[15:10] Bobby: So I feel like karma just bit him in the ass.

[15:14] Jason: Yeah, and I don’t think, I read a little bit on it, I don’t think it’s another woman, they say he likes a little bit of the smoky smoky and the drinky drinky.

[15:23] Bobby: That doesn’t surprise me, and I did see some speculation about another woman, but I don’t know if that’s true.

[15:27] Jason: I don’t know if that’s true either.

[15:28] Bobby: So we can’t confirm or deny that.

[15:30] Jason: That’s right, we’re a little far away from TMZ.

[15:33] Bobby: Exactly, so yeah, man, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, man, well-

[15:39] Jason: Who’d have thunk it, man, come on.

[15:41] Bobby: Best of luck to both of them.

[15:42] Jason: It’s time for one of the most popular parts of the show.

[15:47] Bobby: Oh, shit, is it that moment?

[15:49] Jason: Dun, dun-dun-dun, dun-dun-dun, dun-dun-dun, dun.

[15:53] Bobby: The show.

[15:54] Jason: Come on, man, you can do better than that.

[15:56] Bobby: He needs more balls. The show.

[16:01] Bobby: Okay, we are-

[16:02] Jason: It’s time for the show moments.

[16:03] Bobby: We are in the show moment.

[16:05] Jason: Well, we’ve had a bunch of questions asking us different things. And here’s something to keep it a little bit on the light side for tonight, I don’t have it right in front of me, I’m just going with it right now who asked the question, but how did you change from your first day on the show to when you left? What about you as a person was different? What did you learn along the way? What kind of stuff in the entertainment world happened that you learned in your own head that affects you to today that you can take from that?

[16:41] Bobby: That’s a great question.

[16:42] Jason: Really good, yeah.

[16:43] Bobby: It is, so whoever sent that in, thank you. I’ll give you a little, before I went on the show, let me give you a little story that nobody probably knows about. I was in high school, I think it was my sophomore or junior year. We were having a school dance, and we were at a roller skating rink, and roller skating back in the ’80s was the thing.

[17:08] Jason: Mm-hmm.

[17:08] Bobby: You remember.

[17:09] Jason: Yeah, I do, six packs, backward skaters only.

[17:12] Bobby: And I was a big Michael Jackson fan, still am, and some of the girls there wanted me to do Billie Jean. So I got in the middle of this skating floor, they made a circle around me, my whole class, and I start performing Billie Jean. I was terrified, bro, I was terrified. This is before I went on the show. So there was something in me that wanted to perform, even though, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t the best dancer. But I got out there and I did Billie Jean, and the girls seemed to like it, and the guys were calling me names, I was getting all kinds of shit, but I did it, and it was a moment that I felt like changed me. And it kinda led me into going on the show.

[18:00] Jason: It was that moment.

[18:01] Bobby: Yes. So I was this very shy kid, and the sunglasses was a whole part of me being shy and kinda blocking out the cameras and the lights and everybody. And I was just a terrified kid. Went on there, didn’t have a lot of dancing skills, but I had a lot of passion for music. I loved dancing, and it evolved for me over the years. And I think what I took from the show from day one to my last day is I built a lot of great friendships, number one. Dance Party USA, Dance On Air was like a melting pot of people from different parts of the city and the suburbs, so I made a lot of great friendships, like you.

[18:44] Jason: Mm-hmm.

[18:44] Bobby: We’re still friends today, and it’s like 25, 30 years later.

[18:49] Jason: We’re old.

[18:50] Bobby: Yeah, we’re getting there. So I developed a lot of confidence over the years, and I didn’t have that confidence when I first went there day one at all. I walked out of there feeling much more confident, much more-

[19:07] Jason: Who you are.

[19:08] Bobby: Yeah, I think I found myself during those five to six years of being on the show. And yeah, I knew I wanted to be in entertainment, and the show just kind of helped me develop that.

[19:23] Jason: Yeah, I could see that. That’s a great story. What about you?

[19:26] Jason: I had a kind of a similar thing on my eighth grade class trip, and nobody really knows this at all, before we went to high school. It’s kind of like the same thing almost, it’s freaky to hear you say that. I don’t even remember what song it was, but I ended up dancing, the only guy with a bunch of these girls in a circle almost. I remember it was in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and we were on a bus, riding the bus home, and I remember some of the girls’ names, and all of a sudden, we’re talking and we’re friends, and of course the guys gave me the same shit, “That’s so fucking weird you just broke that up.”

[20:01] Bobby: Yeah, bro, I think a lot of the people who used to dance on the show probably got the same.

[20:04] Jason: Yeah, but it was a really, and I know the factor, the moment you have to make the switch in your mind and you think to yourself, “You’re either gonna do this or you’re not gonna do that.” And it’s these little tiny decisions that I’ve realized as I’ve gone through life that make the biggest impacts with different things. Even you and me sitting here with this podcast where we just, we’re just watching TV and just like, “Hey, let’s do this,” and now it’s this thing and people are enjoying it. I know I’m skipping ahead here a little bit, but when I first went on the show, and we already went through this before in an old podcast, it’s all about finding yourself. And then when you and I started, things started to happen when you and I, we discovered it all together, we went through that whole thing, you and me together. I can always look at it and we talk about the show moments.

[20:50] Bobby: I remember us doing the dance moves for our first lip sync in your living room.

[20:54] Jason: Yeah, I think I have a picture of that somewhere.

[20:55] Bobby: I had, your mom was just giving us food, and we were practicing, and I can still vividly see that in my mind, the first time we practiced.

[21:04] Jason: Yes, I remember, and we did all these moves, it was in the living room. And then to go there and do these lip syncs and do these things, and then when things just started to take off with the show, it was, I’ll tell you, it was so cool. It was so much of a relief, to be able to turn and look to my side, and there you are, and you and I look at each other, and we know exactly what’s going on. It wasn’t like we were by ourselves. And I’m in no way comparing, this is a horrible, I’m no way comparing us to something like this, but it was something that I heard before in a documentary, where they said The Beatles always had each other, and Elvis only had himself. Now, I’m not comparing us to that, but when I hear that story, I can remember all my memories from the show either involve you, especially you, Christina, or you, me, Bob, and Joe. And I can say that as we developed, we went through our first, like, going out, partying together, getting drunk together-

[22:03] Bobby: Getting drunk together, causing trouble.

[22:05] Jason: Causing trouble, that whole party, going on double dates.

[22:08] Bobby: Going on double dates.

[22:08] Jason: We did all of that stuff, we basically were together experiencing the same thing. And so when I left that show, even though it was sad, we of course were still friends the whole time after I left, just going doing different things. It opened my mind a lot to the entertainment business and what was out there, the good and the bad. And yeah, I look back, my friendships that have lasted my whole life. And the turning point with you, Christina, and the guy, and Bob, and Joe, and Marlon was just, helped form the whole-

[22:45] Jason: Yeah, helped form everything. So I guess that was a little bit, we don’t really rehearse this, that’s just me talking, giving a little verbal diarrhea, so hopefully I didn’t bore anybody out there.

[24:06] Bobby: I heard it’s cooling off. My father, I was talking to my father, who lives in South Philly, and he told me it’s getting nicer.

[24:12] Marlon: Yeah, at night it’s dropping down to below 60, so that’s pretty pleasant, I think.

[24:19] Jason: Yeah, we haven’t seen that out here in a while.

[24:20] Bobby: I got a question, I know that you’re a big Eagles fan, what do you think of the new quarterback? They seem to be playing well.

[24:30] Marlon: I’m very happy with him, I like what he’s doing, I think he’s gonna be doing good things in the future, let’s see what happens this season.

[24:39] Bobby: We will. I’m a big football fan too, I’m a Miami Dolphins fan, my team sucks, your team has sucked for a long time.

[24:47] Bobby: So whatever. So what do you got for us this week? I know you had something you wanted to talk about.

[24:54] Marlon: Well, I just looked at one of my favorite movies yesterday called Lethal Weapon, and also I checked out Mad Max. Sometimes I just like go in my archives and look at these movies, just revisit them. And, you know, my man Mel, he’s been in the press, he’s going to have his ninth kid, and I’m amazed by this.

[25:24] Bobby: It’s unbelievable, this guy has nine kids, that’s more than eight is enough.

[25:32] Jason: That’s ni- all you gotta do is just say nine kids and that’s-

[25:33] Bobby: That’s two more than the Brady Bunch, no, three more.

[25:37] Marlon: Well, it’s funny because I saw an interview with him years ago, and it was actually with Barbara Walters a long, long time ago, and he had mentioned that he does not believe in birth control.

[25:54] Bobby: Hey, there you go, just let it all go.

[25:58] Marlon: And I think he has a Catholic background also, so I think that’s why it’s easy for him to churn these kids out with no problem.

[26:11] Bobby: What’s most impressive about the story is his wife is like in her 20s. He’s got this young wife, beautiful, and man, major props to Mel.

[26:27] Marlon: You know, Mel is 60 years old.

[26:48] Bobby: About the Today, we talked about this earlier in the show, Jason and I, and I wanted to see what you thought about that quite interesting performance on the Today Show.

[26:58] Marlon: Okay, so I checked it out, and I was a little speechless, I have to say, it was a very unique take on performing, I guess I’m being gentle.

[27:15] Bobby: You are, very, you’re being kind.

[27:18] Marlon: I think the thing that threw me the most was, I’m gonna have to say his yeah man, you know what a yeah man is?

[27:25] Bobby: No.

[27:26] Marlon: That’s when, like, pop stars, they have these kinda like no-name rappers come out and start, you know, they got a little rap going on, they had a yeah man.

[27:37] Jason: Like a hanger-oner is what it is, right?

[27:39] Marlon: Yeah, exactly. So I think that, that blew me out of the water when I saw that, because I thought to myself what is this guy getting paid to do that? I was amazed by that. And also the halos, the halos were pretty interesting.

[27:56] Bobby: I mean, bro, you gotta give him credit, he has big balls to get out there and do that routine. What did you think about the backlash that he got on the internet?

[28:07] Marlon: And you know what, that’s unfortunate. We live in an age right now where everybody has the right to give their opinion on something, and you gotta take it bad or good, it’s just part of the entertainment business.

[28:22] Bobby: It really is, I mean, even when we were on the show back in the day, we got shit.

[28:27] Marlon: Oh, absolutely.

[28:27] Bobby: Can you imagine if there was a Twitter or a Facebook, Instagram back when we were on the show? We would’ve got some hate, I’m sure.

[28:36] Jason: Yeah, we would’ve heard a lot from that.

[28:39] Marlon: Yeah, and I think we were pretty young kids back then.

[28:44] Bobby: Right.

[28:45] Marlon: You gotta get your confidence game up and take the bad with the good, people praise you, you gotta take the bad too.

[28:53] Bobby: I do feel bad for him in a way. I don’t know why, I admire the guy being the ’80s icon he was, so there’s some sadness there too.

[29:07] Jason: Yeah, it’s just like looking at something that’s sad and it’s kinda past its time, and you feel, I know what you’re saying.

[29:14] Marlon: And he gets out there, and they give him a stage to get on TV, and somebody’s always giving somebody a stage to get on and do your stuff. So I feel bad for the guy, but hey, Corey, more power to you, brother, keep it going.

[29:29] Bobby: Exactly. Well, I got something else that’s in the news that I just heard about. Speaking, you’re in New Jersey, and a New Jersey ’80s icon, Bruce Springsteen, just released his new autobiography, it’s called Born to Run. Were you a Bruce fan? Do you like any of his songs?

[29:50] Marlon: Yeah, I was a huge Bruce fan, actually the Born to Run album is pretty much my favorite. I live in Central Jersey, and Bruce is not even 30 minutes from where I live, so in this area here, he is the man.

[30:09] Bobby: Did you ever run into him at the Olive Garden or the Friar Tuck, did you ever just have a moment with Bruce?

[30:19] Marlon: I haven’t had the pleasure, but you never know what could happen, bro.

[30:22] Bobby: You know what sticks out in my mind? I remember the video where he pulled Courteney Cox up on the stage, and this is an unknown Courteney Cox, and I think that set her career off.

[30:35] Jason: Made her whole career.

[30:37] Bobby: And it’s one of those moments in the ’80s that I think anyone who grew up remembers.

[30:43] Jason: Yeah, if you wanna say iconic, that literally made her whole career.

[30:48] Bobby: It was an amazing moment in video history, I think.

[30:52] Marlon: And I don’t think she was well-known at the time.

[30:58] Marlon: People didn’t know who she was and what she would become.

[31:00] Marlon: Bruce always had pretty good taste, man.

[31:05] Bobby: But here’s the thing, people thought that was spontaneous, but that was staged. That was all staged. He knew who he’s picking, ’cause she was an upcoming actress.
