[00:40] Jason: Well, I wouldn’t say we’re really live, but we’re live while we’re recording this.

[00:43] Bobby: Well, we’re live, sorta. You know what? It sounds good.

[00:49] Jason: And when you’re doing a podcast, from what we’re hearing, that’s all that matters really.

[00:53] Bobby: Exactly. So, we’re back, episode three.

[00:57] Jason: Can you believe we just made it through episode three?

[01:09] Bobby: Yeah, you did. Oh, my God, you did. But you know what? I didn’t say my word, so I’m gonna hold my word back.

[01:26] Bobby: No problem. So let’s recap episode two, because there was a couple, you know, there’s always a couple glitches.

[01:33] Jason: Yeah, especially with you, there’s always a couple glitches. Let’s see. Episode one, we had Kurtis Blow.

[01:40] Bobby: Kurtis Blow incident.

[01:41] Jason: And the last one, do you know where I’m gonna get you with this, right?

[01:44] Bobby: Yeah, we had a little Burger King mix-up.

[01:48] Jason: The Big Mac is from-

[01:51] Bobby: McDonald’s, right.

[01:52] Jason: Here we go.

[01:53] Bobby: But you know what? They’re all the same shit, man. McDonald’s, Burger King, the Whopper, the Big Mac. Who gives a shit?

[01:59] Jason: You know what’s really funny? That’s what somebody always says when they’re wrong.

[02:02] Bobby: Well, anyway. I wanna clear one thing up. We were talking in the last episode about the mall and about different things in the ’80s, and we were talking about some experiences we had and that we remembered from the show. And I neglected to leave something out. I was talking about the New Kids on the Block experience.

[02:26] Jason: No, hold on a second. I’m not gonna edit this, but the way you just said that, “I neglected to leave something out.”

[02:34] Bobby: I did.

[02:35] Jason: No. You left something out.

[02:37] Bobby: Okay.

[02:37] Jason: You neglected it.

[02:38] Bobby: I left something out.

[02:40] Jason: I love you, man.

[02:41] Bobby: So anyway, Liz Jacobs, who was a regular on the show and a big New Kids on the Block fan, she was chosen as the winner.

[02:48] Jason: She was the chosen one.

[02:49] Bobby: But not the winner, the real winner. The real winner was Angela Walker, who was a fan of the show. There were actually two winners. Liz Jacobs was a winner, and Angela Walker was the other winner. So I escorted both ladies to the show, and that’s that. I will leave it just there.

[03:08] Jason: You fixed it. That’s awesome. They both got to share a night with Bobby and the New Kids.

[03:14] Bobby: And it was a great time. Oh, by the way, Angela Walker, on our way home in the limousine, I actually gave her a pair of my Ray-Ban sunglasses.

[03:25] Jason: Were they the glasses?

[03:26] Bobby: They were a copy of the glasses. I still have the glasses very nearby.

[03:33] Jason: Just so, and also, here’s an interesting fact. All the years that Bob and I have known each other, and all the time he was on the show, he never once let me try on his glasses. Even when they were laying around somewhere, it’s like, “No.”

[03:46] Bobby: You would’a smudged them up or something, you know?

[03:50] Jason: I got a big old head, you know?

[03:51] Bobby: Anyway. So yeah, there’s a recap of episode two. I think we covered some interesting things, and let’s move on.

[04:00] Jason: Let’s move, that sounds good. Summertime.

[04:02] Bobby: That’s the theme. I mean, we’re right in the summer right now, and it’s hot in Vegas, let me tell you. We’re already creeping at 100 degrees, for you people in other better climates.

[04:14] Jason: Now when I moved out here, one of the first things that natives, when we ran into them-

[04:19] Bobby: There are Vegas natives, by the way.

[04:21] Jason: Yes, there are. Said to me was, “Is this your first summer?” ‘Cause I think I came out here in a February.

[04:31] Jason: It’s January. And they said to me, “Is this your first summer?”

[04:35] Bobby: Right.

[04:35] Jason: And I would go, “Yeah.” And they would look at me like, “Oh.”

[04:40] Bobby: Did they ever give you the line, “It’s dry. It’s the dry heat”?

[04:44] Jason: Yeah, it’s dry, but they said, “If you can make it through the first summer, you can make it here.”

[04:48] Bobby: Exactly. I’ve been living here for five years, and each summer, honestly, everything’s air-conditioned. I’m used to it.

[04:57] Jason: Well, how about you think about that first summer, though?

[04:59] Bobby: Yeah, the first summer was brutal. The heat, it’s like a wall of heat.

[05:04] Jason: And this goes out to people, like, I guess we’re really thinking about the East Coast too, where we’re from, with the humidity and whatnot. But out here, 118 degrees, which is like all week long.

[05:16] Bobby: It’s hot.

[05:17] Jason: It is-

[05:18] Bobby: I mean, I don’t care, no humidity or not, it’s hot.

[05:20] Jason: It is just-

[05:21] Bobby: Hot as balls.

[05:24] Jason: And that’s the first “as balls” content that we’ve gotten on the podcast.

[05:28] Bobby: Yeah, that opening song, I love that song, man.

[05:31] Jason: That is my number one, as soon as I hear that first intro I remember Ocean City, New Jersey. And that’s where my parents would take us. Did you ever come down to Ocean City when we stayed down there?

[05:44] Jason: I’m not sure if you did.

[05:44] Bobby: I’ve been to Ocean City a few times. Not Ocean City, Maryland, I’ve never been there.

[05:48] Jason: No, me neither.

[05:49] Bobby: I’ve been to Ocean City, New Jersey many times.

[05:51] Jason: That’s what I’m talking about, yeah.

[05:52] Bobby: So right around, I remember there was the 34th Street Arcade.

[05:56] Jason: Been there many times.

[05:57] Bobby: My father and my mother would always get the same place on the second floor, I wanna say, down at, like, 50th Street, right on the beach.

[06:04] Jason: Right.

[06:04] Bobby: So this was, I wanna say that If This Is It came out, like, in ’84. Didn’t it come out before the show, at the beginning of being on the show?

[06:14] Jason: I think it was ’84, ’85-ish. I’m not exactly sure, but we will recap that in episode four.

[06:20] Bobby: Oh, yes. I’ll figure it out.

[06:22] Jason: But do you remember the video, which is very funny?

[06:25] Bobby: Well, that’s where I was getting. When staying down there down the shore and being that young, awkward 14-year-old, and you watch that video, and that was, if you go right now, put on YouTube and sit and watch that video, and you’re from that time, that’s it. It brings you right back.

[06:39] Bobby: I mean, wearing clothes like that on the beach.

[06:42] Jason: Weren’t they, like, in a little boat, all of them?

[06:44] Bobby: No.

[06:45] Jason: Rowing? Are you sure?

[06:47] Bobby: I’m not sure.

[06:48] Jason: I think that they were all in a little dinghy, and they were rowing somewhere.

[06:52] Bobby: But we’ll find out later.

[06:54] Jason: Well, no, I can remember the one girl in there, and I know there’s a lot of women these days that look back at those bikini bottoms, you know the ones that go over the hip, like with Heather Thomas and Heather Locklear.

[07:08] Bobby: That famous Heather Thomas poster.

[07:10] Jason: Yeah. The girl in that, in the If This Is It video, I forget what she was. She was a brunette. That just reminds me of, like, a kid, you know, those little feelings you get when you were-

[07:24] Bobby: You were enjoying that, huh?

[07:25] Jason: Yes, I was, very much so.

[07:26] Bobby: But yeah, no, Huey Lewis was great, and let’s give the News credit.

[07:32] Jason: Oh, yeah.

[07:32] Bobby: That song is just classic ’80s and definitely reminds me of the summertime.

[07:41] Jason: Yeah, as soon as you put it on right now, when we’re done here, and we’re leaving the studio, and I get in my car, I’m gonna crank it up.

[07:51] Bobby: Can I give you another one?

[07:52] Jason: Please.

[07:52] Bobby: Don’t mean to talk over you, Jason. I’m sorry.

[07:55] Jason: No, that’s all right. I’m used to it.

[07:56] Bobby: Hey, hey, hey, hey, knock it off.

[07:59] Jason: No, it’s always, “Can we hear Bobby talk? Is that your real voice?”

[08:01] Bobby: No, it is my real voice. I don’t know where it came from. Anyway, another song that is pure ’80s and definitely reminds me a lot of the summertime is actually called Summertime, by Will Smith.

[08:16] Jason: Yes.

[08:17] Bobby: And I think, I’m not sure if it was Will Smith, if he was with Jazzy Jeff.

[08:21] Jason: That was for The Fresh Prince and Jazzy Prince.

[08:22] Bobby: Was it? Okay. But I love that song, and I love the lyrics, and they shot that all in Philadelphia.

[08:28] Jason: Yes.

[08:28] Bobby: If you listen to the song, it’s all about Philadelphia and his experiences in the city.

[08:37] Jason: That was amazing. Love it. It just puts such a visual picture in your mind. It puts that movie in your mind.

[08:41] Bobby: Yeah, I’m proud of him, man. He’s doing great.

[08:45] Jason: Isn’t amazing.

[08:45] Bobby: I love to see people from Philadelphia and New Jersey and the tri-state area just blow up.

[08:51] Jason: Yes. And it always seems like when you’re watching TV, you see these people on TV, and they always say, like, they’re from Jersey, and I forget. It’s amazing I say that, and everybody just slips my mind immediately.

[09:04] Bobby: No, but it’s cool when people from our neck of the woods hit it, and I’m proud of all of them.

[09:12] Jason: Yeah. I just saw Jane Moore the other night.

[09:14] Bobby: Oh, yeah, Jane Moore.

[09:15] Jason: He’s great. He’s from Jersey, up north Jersey.

[09:17] Bobby: He is. A lot of people are. People would be surprised of all the people that come from the area. So I wanted to give you a summertime experience that I think you’ll remember.

[09:29] Jason: Ooh, I can’t wait.

[09:31] Bobby: Have you ever been to Wildwood, New Jersey?

[09:33] Jason: Yes.

[09:33] Bobby: Okay. As a teenager, I would go down to Wildwood almost every weekend in the summer. I actually had one of my first jobs on the boardwalk working at Roy Rogers. Do you remember Roy Rogers? Yeah, I worked the register at Roy Rogers on the boardwalk.

[09:47] Jason: I never knew this.

[09:49] Bobby: Yes, that’s great, this is new information. It was my first job. I was very young. I might’ve been 14, I don’t remember. But just being in Wildwood in the summertime, for me, was amazing. They had these great piers with all these great rides and attractions, and all the arcades and all the games. You could win all these different cool prizes.

[10:10] Jason: And all the girls.

[10:11] Bobby: Oh, man, that was probably on top of the list. That was the place. There were so many pretty girls there walking on the boardwalk and on the beach. Do you remember, you had to have this, Mack’s Pizza.

[10:23] Jason: Oh my God, yeah, are you kidding?

[10:25] Bobby: I loved Mack’s Pizza. It was so damn greasy, but I loved it. Their slices were large and greasy and just cheesy, oh, man. I’m having a food orgasm.

[10:37] Jason: See, now knowing you, Bob and I used to go out for pizza all the time, and here’s the thing about Bob. How many napkins was a Mack’s Pizza slice for you?

[10:45] Bobby: Oh, man. You got, you’d dab off all the grease. It was about eight napkins to dab off that grease, but it was worth it. Yo, you and me could kill one pie together.

[10:54] Jason: Yeah.

[10:55] Bobby: Easily.

[10:56] Bobby: But yeah, Mack’s Pizza for me reminds me of Wildwood, reminds me of New Jersey, reminds me of summer.

[11:04] Jason: Oh my God, yeah, just summer.

[11:05] Bobby: And I’m sure a lot of people listening to this remember that and probably can still get a Mack’s Pizza. Unfortunately, we’re too far to grab one, but hey, if anybody wants to send us a Mack’s slice, make sure you wrap it very well.

[11:23] Jason: I’m t- like I said earlier, Ocean City. I just remember the pier that was there with the arcade. Remember we did the shows, and they were by the pier, on the sand. But further down the pier there was this amusement park. And I remember, there was a merry-go-round that had rings that if you’d hang out, you probably can’t do this now because they’d probably be like, somebody’d lose a finger.

[11:55] Jason: And if you pulled out the golden one, you got something, I forget what it was. But I just remember going down there and walking down that beach, and just, at that point it’s all about the girls.

[12:09] Bobby: The Jersey Shore is great. From Cape May all the way up, there’s so many nice spots.

[12:14] Jason: Yeah, there’s nice spots, but there’s certain parts once you get a little north that’s a little too north for me.

[12:19] Bobby: I do have a pet peeve, though, about the boardwalk and the games. Those games, I don’t know, they’re rigged. You’re over there, you’re trying to win this stuffed animal for the girl you’re with, and you wanna impress her. So you’re there spending dollar after dollar trying to get that ball in that basket or whatever you’re trying to do, and it’s like impossible. And then when you finally win something they give you this tiny little toy. I don’t know, man.

[12:48] Jason: Uh, this is where Bob’s bitching moment right here.

[12:50] Bobby: Yeah, I think that the New Yorkers are coming down to Jersey, rigging the games, and collecting that cash.

[12:57] Jason: And of course, the guy who’s standing behind there who realizes you’re trying to win it for your girl is like, “Hey, man, what are you, a wuss?”

[13:03] Bobby: Yeah, exactly, “You gonna do it?” You know what I was pretty good at? The water balloon game.

[13:08] Jason: Oh, the balloon one where you get the heavy balls?

[13:08] Bobby: Yeah, I liked that one. And I also liked the one with the horse racing where you would roll the ball and you had to get it in a hole, and it would make the horse move forward.

[13:19] Jason: I remember the one with the rings with the bottles.

[13:21] Bobby: Yep, very difficult.

[13:23] Jason: And I remember, what’s the other one I really liked? Oh, of course, the spin wheelie ones. That was where I first won my first records down the shore.

[13:33] Bobby: Oh, wow, you won some LPs?

[13:35] Jason: I won some LPs, actually. LPs, baby, I remember the ones I won too.

[13:37] Bobby: LPs are back.

[13:38] Jason: I know. I think that, well, in fact, I can’t say. I almost said it, I’m not gonna say it.

[13:42] Bobby: Okay.

[13:43] Jason: I’ll hold out. I won Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA.

[13:47] Bobby: Wow, classic.

[13:48] Jason: I won The Cars.

[13:50] Bobby: Another one, classic.

[13:51] Jason: I won The Outfield.

[13:53] Bobby: Wow. Yes. You were doing well that day, huh?

[13:55] Jason: I did well. I think I spent a little bit of money over the summer.

[13:58] Bobby: Here’s the thing, you spend maybe $100, you finally win some kinda stuffed animal, and it’s the cheapest fucking thing ever.

[14:07] Jason: Wait a second, hold on.

[14:08] Bobby: I’m sorry.

[14:09] Jason: No, no, no, wait, hold on. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first F-bomb.

[14:13] Bobby: I’m sorry.

[14:14] Jason: No, it’s okay. But it’s true. Do you ever feel the stuffed animals you win, they feel like that kinda, I don’t know what it is, but they feel cheap?

[14:20] Bobby: Yes.

[14:21] Jason: Right?

[14:21] Bobby: Yes.

[14:22] Jason: They’re not plush.

[14:23] Bobby: No, they just feel like-

[14:24] Jason: And then you’re like, “Damn, I could’ve spent $100 in the store and got an amazing stuffed animal for my girl, but no, I’m over here-“

[14:31] Bobby: But anyway, you know what?

[14:32] Jason: No, but I’m over here with me and my ego, and I’m thinking to myself, “I can roll that ball in there and make that hole-in-one.”

[14:36] Bobby: Exactly. But you know what? Part of it is the fun, is doing it and being there and experiencing it. I think that’s part of it.

[14:43] Jason: No, I think that’s part of it, but I will say the part that you got most passionate about was losing the money to a cheap stuffed toy.

[14:49] Bobby: Damn New Yorkers.

[14:53] Jason: Now, New Yorkers, don’t call us up and complain about this.

[14:55] Bobby: I love New York.

[14:56] Jason: Yeah, I love New York too, come on, man, big fan.

[14:58] Bobby: Speaking of New York, Jason, there’s an amusement park that I love to go to in the summer, Great Adventure. It’s up there, close to-

[15:07] Jason: Yeah, it’s Jackson, New Jersey.

[15:07] Bobby: Kind of in the middle of New Jersey.

[15:09] Jason: Yeah.

[15:10] Bobby: And you’ve been there, right?

[15:11] Jason: Oh, many, many, many times, I think we’ve been there together.

[15:13] Bobby: And it’s a great place. They have some of the best thrill rides probably on the East Coast. So do you like thrill rides, Jason?

[15:22] Jason: I’m like, I gotta stop because the dog just killed me.

[15:25] Bobby: What’s the dog doing?

[15:26] Jason: Fucking cracking him off.

[15:29] Bobby: We’ll let the dog, we’ll leave it. Let’s just keep going.

[15:33] Jason: We’ll leave it, no, it’s fine.

[15:33] Bobby: All right, let me explain. There’s a French bulldog living underneath-

[15:37] Jason: Oh, we’re not gonna keep that, are we? Oh, fuck it, we’ll keep it, why not, let’s keep it. Second F-bomb, okay.

[15:42] Bobby: Yeah. There’s a Frenchie, French bulldog living under our set-

[15:48] Jason: Uh, no, it’s not, see, you make it sound like we have some homeless dog.

[15:51] Bobby: Okay. It’s my dog. We call her Harley the Frenchie, and you’ll meet her in the future. Anyway, she cranked out-

[16:05] Bobby: She’s letting loose, man, she’s a dog.

[16:07] Jason: She’s comfortable. I’m not complaining about the dog cracking them off, I’m just saying that all of a sudden, when you’re in the middle of telling me a story, and this, my eyes start to water.

[16:17] Bobby: I’m just letting you, I love it.

[16:18] Jason: I’m sure you do love it. Listen, don’t edit this out, let’s just roll with this.

[16:24] Bobby: All right, let’s go back to Great Adventure.

[16:26] Jason: All right, if I can, hold on.

[16:27] Bobby: Wait, the air’s fresh?

[16:28] Jason: It’s, I have a moment of, yes, okay.

[16:31] Bobby: Go ahead. So anyway, speaking of thrill rides and thrill dogs and Great Adventure, did you enjoy, were you a big fan of the fast rides and looping and rolling and all around?

[16:41] Jason: Oh, yes, those were amazing. That was the first place that I really got my loop on. What was the name, the one that was just a loop?

[16:49] Bobby: I remember that, the Super Duper Looper.

[16:51] Jason: That was it.

[16:52] Bobby: I don’t know how the hell I remember that, but yeah, the Super Duper Looper, man.

[16:57] Jason: That was my jam, and also Free Fall.

[17:02] Bobby: I remember Free Fall.

[17:04] Jason: I don’t know if they still have it.

[17:05] Bobby: I think it’s gone, but somebody lost a foot, I think. It was like you were in an elevator and they just drop it.

[17:10] Jason: Yeah, badass. And then somebody lost a foot.

[17:12] Bobby: I think, that’s what happened.

[17:13] Jason: Yeah, they actually, that’s why it’s gone.

[17:15] Bobby: But I’m not, like, laughing about that, you know what I’m saying?

[17:18] Jason: If you’re the person who lost a foot, we are sorry about that.

[17:21] Bobby: You know. But anyway, what other parks did you like in the area? I remember Hershey Park.

[17:30] Jason: Oh, Hershey Park is, I went to Hershey Park about four years ago.

[17:33] Bobby: Yeah, I went there recently too, and, you know what I liked about Hershey Park compared to Great Adventure?

[17:37] Jason: Mm.

[17:37] Bobby: It’s a little more relaxed, seemed clean, and I don’t know, I just enjoyed my experience at Hershey Park a little bit more.

[17:46] Jason: Me too. It seems like they just took a little more, it didn’t seem as corporate as, you know, Six Flags. You go to different Six Flags across the country, and this is nothing against Six Flags or corporations, but Hershey Park is just the one individual thing in the town, and it’s all made up with Hershey’s Kisses. I remember, here we go, where I was like, I think I almost made myself pre-diabetic, was they had those huge boxes of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

[18:13] Bobby: Oh, yeah.

[18:14] Jason: They were like, I’m talking, there must have been 100 packages of two peanut butter cups in there, and they were like 20 bucks a pop.

[18:21] Bobby: Yeah, man, the Hershey store there, you can buy everything and anything, and good deals there, big quantities.

[18:29] Jason: Oh my God, I’m talking, I think I went through the first box in about three weeks, and then after that I just started giving them away to people.

[18:40] Bobby: I gotta tell you, bro, driving into Hershey, it’s such a kinda weird kinda place ’cause everything is Hershey this, Hershey that, Hershey way. All the streets, the high school is like Hershey High School. Everything’s so clean. It reminds you of like The Truman Show or something. And I don’t know, for me it was a little bizarre. I didn’t even wanna touch anything, I felt like it would break.

[19:05] Jason: It’s insane. Well, that’s kinda like out there by Amish country.

[19:07] Bobby: It is. It’s very family-oriented, real pretty place, it’s beautiful, I’m not saying it’s not. I just felt it was a little bit too perfect.

[19:16] Jason: Yeah, I see your point.

[19:18] Bobby: Yeah.

[19:18] Jason: It’s not as Stepford as, say, Disney World, where everybody’s like real, they’ve gotta say the certain things, everybody’s gotta do the certain things. But Hershey Park, the waterpark there, I was there for the waterpark at one particular point.

[19:33] Bobby: There’s another local place where we used to do the show, Dorney Park.

[19:36] Jason: Dorney Park, yeah.

[19:37] Bobby: Another cool summer place that was definitely worth visiting. I remember walking around and everything was like walking up a hill, down a hill, I was getting like an exercise, getting a workout just trying to get to a ride. But the waterpark at Dorney Park was really, really badass.

[19:53] Jason: It was. And I think we did do a remote there. And the one thing I remember, I wore my tube socks all the way up to my knees.

[20:01] Bobby: Damn, Jay, you were doing that? Pretty sexy, dude. You were rolling like that?

[20:05] Jason: I was rolling like that in the beginning, man, that was way in the beginning.

[20:08] Bobby: Did you have some Vans on?

[20:10] Jason: No, I think I just had, you know how you just wore sneakers that you had. I think I had my hair parted in the middle.

[20:15] Bobby: Did you have short shorts?

[20:16] Jason: Yes.

[20:17] Bobby: Oh, man.

[20:17] Jason: It’s pretty bad. I think I lost those tapes.

[20:20] Bobby: Do we have any pictures?

[20:21] Jason: No, I think I lost the- those are conveniently lost.

[20:23] Bobby: I don’t think you want to show those.

[20:25] Jason: Well, you know, what are you gonna do? You’re 15 years old, what are you gonna do?

[20:28] Bobby: But yeah, I love roller coasters, faster the better for me, speed. Love it.

[20:34] Jason: Now wait, have you hit the, ’cause I know the one thing everybody needs to know about Bob out there, in case you don’t know it, is he is an absolute, the number one movie freak. And I mean that in the nicest way, bro.

[20:48] Bobby: I’m not a freak.

[20:49] Jason: I mean, you know what I mean, the movie junkie person that I’ve ever met in my life, and Harry Potter, you name it. I’m looking at Yoda right now.

[21:02] Bobby: Yoda’s looking at us.

[21:03] Jason: That’s right, you’ll all see, well, maybe eventually. Harry Potter, did you hit that thing out in Universal Studios, out in Cali? Did you hit that?

[23:43] Bobby: She was looking damn good in that one too.

[23:44] Jason: She was in Porky’s. Who else? You know what? Now that we’re talking about this with movies, what are the quintessential starlets? I’ll give you, here we go, one off the top of my head, you got Phoebe Cates.

[23:56] Bobby: Phoebe Cates is from Gremlins. And she was also in the Fast Times at Ridgemont High, in the classic pool scene.

[24:06] Bobby: Every young man remembers that.

[24:08] Jason: Oh my God, I see it in my head right now.

[24:11] Bobby: I think Phoebe retired from acting.

[24:14] Jason: I think she’s married to Kevin Kline.

[24:39] Bobby: Oh, John Candy.

[24:40] Jason: John Candy, remember, they took the family, and they all went out with Dan Aykroyd, who was, like, his brother-in-law, and he was a real pain in the ass. And they all went out to the cabin and had a good old family trip. That was some funny shit, remember the meat?

[24:55] Jason: He went in the restaurant, and it was called, like, The 69 or something.

[24:59] Bobby: Yes, the big steak.

[25:00] Jason: And if he ate it all, they would get the meal for free. So Dan Aykroyd is egging him on, “Eat it, eat it, get it.” So he ate everything, and there was, like, this gristle left. And he looks at the chef, he says, “You gotta eat the gristle, too.”

[25:18] Bobby: He did, yeah, oh my God, yeah, the ’80s movies. So we’ve got Weekend at Bernie’s, we got Vacation, and we’ve got The Great Outdoors.

[25:34] Jason: As a teen watching that film, such a great script, it was one of those movies that had impact on me. I always loved that film.

[25:45] Jason: And the girl in that was very pretty, I can’t remember her name. She was, like, the hot girl for-

[25:49] Bobby: She’s been in a lot of movies. I don’t remember her name either. We’ll pick that up later.

[25:53] Jason: Here we go, Elisabeth Shue. Remember Elisabeth Shue? And what’s the movie I’m thinking of right now, remember about the biggest Tom Cruise fan?

[26:00] Bobby: I, wait, I know, The Adventures in Babysitting.

[26:04] Jason: That was, yeah, that was great. She was in that.

[26:06] Bobby: Yep, Cocktail.

[26:07] Jason: Oh, Cocktail.

[26:08] Bobby: Yeah, man, remember Cocktail? I just wanted to move to the islands when I saw that.

[26:12] Jason: Do you know Elisabeth Shue was also in Back to the Future?

[26:19] Bobby: That’s right, she was, she was Marty McFly’s girlfriend.

[26:19] Jason: The original one.

[26:20] Bobby: The original, and then they changed her for the second film.

[26:24] Jason: Yeah, Elisabeth Shue.

[26:26] Bobby: Looking good, man, there you go, looking good. So we got, wait, that’s right, Back to the Future. We’re talking, like, summer, summery movies, with a lot of stuff that happens on the beach, stuff you remember like that.

[26:37] Jason: What about Secret Admirer? Remember that one?

[26:39] Bobby: That’s the one with the letter, right?

[26:40] Jason: Yeah, C. Thomas Howell and Lori Loughlin.

[26:44] Bobby: Full House chick, and she is a hottie too.

[26:48] Jason: Yeah, and your girl Kelly Preston was in that one, man.

[26:51] Bobby: Kelly Preston, yeah, looking good.

[26:52] Jason: But that was another good film, where he wrote the letter ’cause he was in love with her, and the letter got passed around in all the wrong places, it was just crazy.

[27:03] Bobby: It was, and it had a great ensemble cast, too.

[27:05] Jason: It was. It was a good film.

[27:06] Bobby: It felt good. I would say, ’80s movie, one of the, we think we talked about it before, Can’t Buy Me Love.

[27:15] Jason: Yeah, that’s a great film. It’s one of my, probably in my top five ’80s.

[27:19] Bobby: Even though it’s not really a summer film, it feels, when I was just thinking about it, I was thinking about him cutting the grass.

[27:23] Jason: Such a, no, it’s a great film, it’s timeless, especially for people who grew up in that time period. I have to tell you, Jay, this show’s been a lot of fun, reminiscing, going back, talking about the summertime, especially now we’re in the summer and it’s hot as balls.

[27:39] Bobby: That’s right, exactly, there’s actually something here in Vegas, hot as balls.

[27:43] Jason: But no, this has been a great show. We talked about music, we talked about some movies, we talked about the Jersey Shore. All just great memories.

[27:52] Bobby: And if I’m having such a good time, just like you’re having such a good time hearing your perspective on things, it makes me think about stuff and makes me remember stuff.

[28:01] Jason: Yeah, for sure. We’re jogging each other’s memories. We don’t really prepare, do we prepare sort of, or kinda?

[28:12] Jason: But yeah, basically we’re just coming in here and just keeping it real and talking.
