[01:44] Bobby: And we also talked about the death of MTV.

[01:49] Bobby: It’s so sad, man, MTV is just not MTV.

[01:52] Jason: And as you listen to SiriusXM, ’80s on 8, listening to the VJs, like Nina Blackwood and Mark Goodman.

[02:00] Jason: It reminds you of how sad it is, it’s almost like a sad thing. And they still have it.

[02:05] Jason: I mean, I probably wouldn’t wanna see them live right now, ’cause it’s a long time ago.

[02:09] Bobby: But they sound great.

[02:10] Jason: They sound exactly the same, you think to yourself, “Oh man, I just wish I could go home and veg out and watch some videos and stuff.”

[02:18] Bobby: Well, let’s move on from episode six, we are in number seven, and today is a very special show.

[02:26] Bobby: Do you wanna know why, Jason?

[02:28] Jason: I have a pretty good idea, but I think you should tell the party peeps.

[02:31] Bobby: Well, Bobby and Jason’s Awesome ’80s Podcast has been the two of us, and we’re adding a third person to the show.

[02:42] Bobby: And he’s one of my very, very close friends, and his name is Marlon Dow. I know that laugh, there he is, I call my little buddy. How you doing, brother? Marlon’s back on the East Coast.

[03:02] Marlon: Yes, I am.

[03:04] Bobby: And how you feel to be on the podcast?

[03:06] Marlon: This is fantastic, guys, I wanna thank you for inviting me to your party, this is such a blast.

[03:11] Jason: You’re family.

[03:13] Bobby: You are family, brother.

[03:14] Marlon: Thank you, brother.

[03:15] Bobby: Before we get into other things, I wanna tell you a little secret about Marlon. Marlon has a nickname that he’s had since he was a kid, and I’m gonna spill the beans, ’cause we like to share on this show, we love to share.

[03:32] Bobby: And his nickname back in the day was Buttons. Can you tell the people how that name came about?

[03:41] Marlon: All right, I’m gonna give you the history of my nickname. When I was a child I was mystified by this, so I asked my dad, when I was about five or six, “Why do you guys call me Buttons?” He said, “Because when you were born, you were cute as a button.”

[04:01] Bobby: That’s so cute. Jason, where are the Kleenex? I’m using them all, I’m getting teary-eyed over here.

[04:14] Marlon: Yeah, I know you are.

[04:16] Bobby: You are cute as a button, brother. So listen, I want to recap one thing that we did talk about on the Halloween show. We were very curious about your opinion, why don’t you tell us?

[04:30] Marlon: Well, when we came up with the idea to dress as each other, it was pure innocence and fun, and we thought we were doing something fantastic, it was our original idea. And when we did it we had a blast, we didn’t think anything nefarious, it was just fun.

[04:50] Jason: And it was fun at the time, it was a lot of fun.

[04:54] Bobby: It was. I mean, could you do that today in this PC world we live in?

[04:59] Marlon: And that’s the issue, is that we live in a different time. People may take things to heart, but back in the day when we were young teenagers having fun and just having a blast, that’s what we did, man.

[05:12] Bobby: You know, it’s sad that, how it’s changed, it really is.

[05:17] Bobby: But you know what, we were fortunate to grow up in the ’80s and the early ’90s, and it was a great time.

[05:23] Marlon: Yes it was. And the ’80s to me represents pure innocence, from the music to movies to everything across the board.

[05:31] Jason: You’re absolutely 100% right with that. You weren’t worried about somebody coming around to steal your kids or blow something up or take your bike or offending somebody, we just had a great time.

[05:44] Bobby: We had a great time. There was some innocence about the time, I think, even about the music, the movies, everything seemed to be different.

[05:53] Marlon: And don’t forget all the colors.

[05:55] Bobby: Speaking of colors, that suit, man, that suit that I wore, I’m very honored to have worn that suit, the orange suit, when you wore it also in the lip sync we did, Wrap Her Up. What are the origins of that suit, where did it come from?

[06:11] Marlon: Well, the history behind that suit that you guys won’t believe is that suit was not mine, that suit belonged in my mother’s wardrobe, actually.

[06:22] Bobby: Ooh, I didn’t know that, something that’s new to me.

[06:25] Marlon: Yeah, that was one of her party suits, she would go out to the nightclubs and have fun with her friends, and she’d wear that suit. I asked her, “Do you mind if I wear that suit on the show?” She said, “If you’re gonna take it to the show, absolutely.” So there you go.

[06:41] Bobby: Bro, you gotta get a picture, do you have a picture of you with that suit? We gotta share that on the Facebook page, we’ll have to find one.

[06:49] Marlon: I think there’s one out there.

[06:49] Jason: You know what you need to give us, you need to give us two, he’s gotta give us one, don’t you think?

[06:54] Bobby: Well, I was honored to have worn that suit, man, I didn’t know it was your mom’s, that’s cool.

[07:46] Jason: So we got a little something, you got a little something on the plate, don’t you? You’ve been doing some research.

[07:50] Bobby: I’m a big reader and I like to do research, I like to bring something to the table for the people, man.

[07:55] Jason: So you said you had something good for this podcast for both of us.

[07:58] Bobby: I do, and I’m gonna love your opinions on these things. These are little things that you forgot that you used to do back in the ’80s and ’90s.

[08:07] Jason: So it’s like ’80s cool reflection stuff from back in the day, right?

[08:09] Bobby: Exactly. You guys ready?

[08:13] Bobby: All right, let me give you this one here. Do you guys remember going to the music store and listening to new releases on the kiosks before deciding whether to buy them or not?

[08:23] Marlon: Oh yeah, South Street Tower Records, baby.

[08:27] Jason: Tower Records, remember, that was like an event to go there, wasn’t it?

[08:28] Bobby: That was my spot, that was my spot, Tower Records on South Street.

[08:32] Jason: You’d just go there and you’d just spend all day going through records, and then get a chance to listen to them, it was, those were good times.

[08:37] Bobby: It was great, and Tower Records had such a selection, there’s like two levels, right?

[08:42] Marlon: Yeah, absolutely, the basement was rap music, I remember that much.

[08:45] Bobby: I remember that.

[08:48] Marlon: And on the third floor was soundtracks, I remember that.

[08:51] Bobby: Yeah, they separated things, you’re right.

[08:53] Jason: So that was like a whole day thing, man, it was awesome.

[08:55] Bobby: Yeah bro, you’re jogging my memory.

[08:57] Marlon: Yeah, and I believe I had a cut at Tower Records, so.

[09:02] Bobby: I like that. Okay, I got another one. Do you remember dropping off or picking up your loved ones at the gate in the airport?

[09:12] Marlon: Wow.

[09:13] Jason: Yeah, you could just go and just say, “Hey,” you’d park the car, you go in, you wait for them, and as soon as they come out, it’s like if you watch old movies now and you see people, when they come off the plane and they’re giving a big hug.

[09:21] Jason: There’s none of that anymore.

[09:23] Bobby: It’s over, man, after 9/11 everything changed.

[09:26] Marlon: Yeah, I don’t even think they pat you down back then.

[09:30] Marlon: Not even.

[09:31] Bobby: No, I mean, you could bring on a bottle of water.

[09:34] Jason: You could show up with a cheese steak, sit there and eat it, and then when you get off the plane be like, “Hey, man.”

[09:37] Marlon: Wait, get this. One of my first flights, I actually flew out to San Francisco when I was about 18, and halfway to the back of the plane, they used to smoke on the plane.

[09:50] Bobby: You’re right, wow, that’s right. Did you ever notice on the chairs, the arms of the chairs still have the ashtrays, but they’re sealed up?

[09:58] Jason: I never really noticed that.

[09:59] Bobby: Yes.

[10:00] Marlon: You are right, Bob.

[10:02] Marlon: These little ashtrays still there.

[10:04] Bobby: It’s crazy, well, that’s insane, I guess it’s a sign of the past. Or they’re just too cheap to change the damn armchairs, I think that’s more the angle.

[10:14] Bobby: All right, I got another one, how about this? Making sure you’ve always had a disposable camera around so when you took pictures with your friends, you could trade with them and get the doubles.

[10:26] Jason: Wow, that’s what we used to do all the time at the show, I mean, I got a couple pictures I think we just posted up lately of us, like in the show bathroom taking pictures of us getting ready.

[10:34] Bobby: Yeah, the big makeup room.

[10:38] Jason: Wow, yeah, I remember that.

[10:41] Bobby: Here’s a good one, this one you’ll remember, and we’ve all done this, remembering to program your VCR if you were going out and you wanted to record your favorite show.

[10:51] Marlon: Oh man, now today’s DVR.

[10:54] Bobby: Yeah, I mean, it’s so convenient.

[10:56] Bobby: DVR is just like back in the day, right?

[11:00] Jason: And it’s so easy, now it’s just, you just push a button, you don’t have to get up there and figure out what time it is, and you’ll accidentally record over something, instead of doing EP you’ll do SLP, and you’re gonna be like-

[11:10] Bobby: I remember the SP, all that shit. Marlon, what was one show that you had recorded back in the day?

[11:17] Marlon: I’m pretty sure, Bobby, you know what I’m gonna say, but Miami Vice.

[11:23] Bobby: I knew it.

[11:25] Marlon: Was my show.

[11:26] Bobby: I always remember him talking about that show and telling me how great it was, it was a good show, I enjoyed it too.

[11:31] Jason: Doesn’t surprise me.

[11:32] Bobby: Jason, I know what show you recorded, it was The Brady Bunch.

[11:35] Jason: Oh God, you got me.

[11:37] Bobby: How’d you get me? I knew it. Marsha, Marsha, stop that, doesn’t that make you cringe?

[11:44] Jason: Marlon, doesn’t that make you feel like kind of oogy listening to me do that?

[11:47] Bobby: Oh, Marsha, please stop. All right, all right, promise me you’ll never do that again.

[11:52] Jason: I promise I won’t do it no more.

[11:53] Bobby: Thank you. Here’s another one, very carefully writing down the product numbers and names on an order form when you were ordering clothes from a catalog, you’d actually have to fill it out, send the check and everything.

[12:08] Jason: Wow, I don’t know about you, Marlon, but I think that’s something exclusively to him.

[12:13] Bobby: No man, I know there’s people out there that did that, and I know they’ll back me up.

[12:18] Jason: If I needed Z Cavariccis I would just go to Chess King and I’d be hooked up.

[12:22] Bobby: Yeah, Z Cavariccis, wow.

[12:24] Marlon: Oh, I think I had one pair of Cavariccis.

[12:28] Bobby: Marlon was a big parachute pants guy. So how about this one, guys, I have a really good one. Getting up really early in the morning in order to wait in line at the Ticketmaster box office to get tickets for a concert. Who did that?

[12:45] Marlon: I have to say I was a suspect of that.

[12:50] Bobby: What concert?

[12:52] Marlon: Okay, we’re going way far back, I saw Billy Idol in Allentown, Pennsylvania. And here’s the great thing, guys, I don’t know if you remember this, but I went with Ed O’Neill, Eddie O’Neill.

[13:06] Bobby: Wait, wait, wait, Marlon, that doesn’t surprise me considering Eddie O’Neill is the biggest Billy Idol fan I’ve ever met.

[13:11] Marlon: Exactly, yeah.

[13:12] Jason: No, no, Eddie O’Neill was Billy Idol, man, as far as I was concerned.

[13:15] Bobby: He really was.

[13:17] Marlon: And so what happened was a couple of friends of ours brought us out to Allentown, and we got to get tickets to the concert, but the best part was because we’re from the show, we got backstage to meet Billy Idol.

[13:33] Bobby: See that, man? The show had French benefits.

[13:38] Bobby: What about you, Jeff?

[13:38] Jason: I got one that involves somebody else on the show too. Now, see, I didn’t get up early, screw that shit, guys, me, I was camped out, dude. So we had a little dome tent, and the first concert I ever went to where I camped out was Prince, and I actually went with Princess and Princess’ dad, and I think my brother, and it was an all-night thing, and you can imagine all the people waiting for Prince all night long.

[14:01] Bobby: You were with Princess, wow, we love Princess, she’s the biggest fan.

[14:04] Jason: Yeah, she’s awesome. But that was my first real camp out experience, it wasn’t like getting up early in the morning, nah, screw that.

[14:13] Bobby: I have one for you, good night Bobby, yeah, I have one for you. So this won’t surprise you considering I was a big, big Michael Jackson fan back in the ’80s. Dave, a good friend of mine, and I, we took our bicycles and we rode them to the Deptford Mall, and we spent the entire night there waiting for the 1984 Victory Tour tickets with Michael Jackson and his brothers. And here’s the thing, I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about sleeping out for tickets, so we arrived there with nothing, and I saw people with pillows and food, and we’re there with nothing.

[14:49] Bobby: So I think they felt bad for us, they said, “Oh, look at these kids, they don’t have anything,” so they were sharing pillows and snacks, it was great. But yo, it was worth it because we got seventh row on the floor.

[15:00] Jason: Wow, I’m jealous.

[15:00] Bobby: Yeah man, and you know where it was? It was at JFK in Philly, and JFK is long gone.

[15:06] Jason: Absolutely, that was the Live Aid’s place, wasn’t it?

[15:08] Bobby: Yeah bro, that place sat like what, 100,000 people, it was incredible. Here’s another good one, do you guys remember doing this, when you wanted to get a movie time you’d have to go in the newspaper and see it on the back page, do you remember that?

[15:24] Bobby: There was no Fandango.

[15:26] Jason: No Fandango, or you could call, use your rotary phone and dial it.

[15:30] Bobby: Oh, that was horrible, it would take forever, man. But yeah, I remember getting the Sunday paper and going to the movie section, I was excited to see what was playing.

[15:38] Marlon: Wow, and when I was a kid, my mother made me read the newspaper every day, that was one of my, it was not a punishment, but a thing I had to do.

[15:48] Bobby: You know?

[15:49] Marlon: That’s not a bad thing. And I remember the movies section to go see a movie was in the middle of the paper.

[15:55] Bobby: Right.

[15:56] Marlon: Important stuff was in the beginning, politics was next, entertainment, and then the movies, and then sports and all that in the back.

[16:06] Jason: Well, go Mom, that was awesome.

[16:08] Marlon: Yeah.

[16:08] Jason: What an awesome thing, man.

[16:09] Bobby: That’s really cool. How about this one? Did you ever run home to delete messages on the answering machine that you didn’t want your parents to hear? Like, maybe a girl or something?

[16:19] Jason: I kind of lucked out a little bit there, like we talked about before, you and I, that I had my own phone line with my own answering machine, so I never really had to deal with that one.

[16:27] Bobby: Oh, such privilege.

[16:31] Bobby: How about you, Marlon, you ever did?

[16:31] Marlon: Yeah, I wasn’t as lucky as you guys with the phone thing because, when I was at junior high, girls used to call my house and hang up.

[16:43] Jason: I don’t know how I’d handle that.

[16:45] Marlon: And my mother would answer that phone, man, and that was a bad, bad thing for me.

[16:49] Bobby: Oh, snap. How about this, speaking of the phone, did you guys ever look up someone’s phone number in the phone book, when you had to go through all the pages and find that name and number?

[16:58] Jason: Yeah, oh yeah.

[16:59] Bobby: Such a pain in the ass.

[17:00] Jason: Such a pain, you’re right. But then you find out exactly where they lived and the phone number and all that kind of stuff.

[17:04] Bobby: Yeah, it’s kind of creepy.

[17:06] Jason: Yeah, it is really creepy.

[17:07] Marlon: Yeah, we live in a spoiled time today, man, it was a lot of work back then.

[17:11] Bobby: How about this, did you ever carry around change so if you had to go to the payphone you had some quarters and stuff, and dimes?

[17:18] Marlon: Oh my gosh.

[17:19] Jason: Wow, dimes for phone calls, Bob, what are you-

[17:21] Bobby: Where do you find these things, Bobby? Whoa, where the hell do you find this crap?

[17:24] Marlon: Bob, you’re going way back, brother.

[17:25] Jason: I’m telling you, change.

[17:27] Bobby: All right, I saved the best for last, and I know we’ve all done this, how about going to Blockbuster on a Friday or Saturday, and you go in there and you’re too late, all the new releases are gone, and now you’re walking around for like 30, 40 minutes trying to find something because there’s nothing good left.

[17:45] Jason: Oh yeah, and it’s all garbage stuff, like those real B off movies.

[17:48] Bobby: Exactly, but you know what, you’re not gonna leave empty-handed, so you find something.

[17:53] Jason: Yeah, you’re right, I’ve done that.

[17:56] Marlon: It was a first come, first served basis.

[17:58] Bobby: Yep, rest in peace, Blockbuster.

[18:01] Jason: I really don’t miss you, Blockbuster.

[18:03] Bobby: All right, I’m moving on to some trivia.

[18:08] Bobby: And this is gonna be fun.

[18:08] Jason: Listen to Marlon, look at Bob, it’s like he’s got the game show stuff going on here.

[18:13] Bobby: Hey now. Well, the answer is on film, all right, here we go, these are the top 10 ’80s movies, rated from Rotten Tomatoes, you know that website. So I wanna give you, no, it’s not top 10, it’s top nine, I’m gonna give you nine movies, and I want you to tell me which one’s number one.

[18:35] Bobby: All right, Gremlins, The Breakfast Club, The Little Mermaid, The Fly, Heathers, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Terminator, and E.T. Marlon, you first, which one of that list do you think is the number one rated movie from the ’80s?

[18:59] Marlon: I’m gonna go with E.T.

[19:01] Bobby: Okay, Jason?

[19:02] Jason: I’m going to agree with you.

[19:04] Bobby: Okay, well, you both are wrong. And you know something, I’m right because I know the answer. I’m gonna give you the top nine in their order. Number one, The Terminator.

[19:16] Jason: Ooh, surprising.

[19:17] Bobby: It got 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, that’s unbelievable.

[19:22] Jason: That, I’ve never heard of that before.

[19:23] Bobby: Number two, E.T., 98%.

[19:27] Jason: We were close, Marv.

[19:28] Bobby: Yeah, you were, you were right there. Ghostbusters, number three with 97%. Number four, Back to the Future, 96%, one of my favorite movies.

[19:39] Bobby: Marty McFly, you gotta love it, just like our little cartoons. Heathers was number five with 95%. The Little Mermaid, 93%. The Fly is number seven, 91%, that movie scared the shit out of me.

[19:53] Jason: Yeah, that was really crazy, Jeff Goldblum was perfect.

[19:56] Bobby: It was so creepy, man. Number eight, and I know we all love this one, The Breakfast Club, 89%. And number nine, rounding out the list, and this surprised me, Gremlins, 85%. I would think Gremlins would’ve been up there a little bit more.

[20:11] Marlon: At least top five.

[20:12] Bobby: Yeah, so that’s the movie part, now I’m gonna get into a little music.

[20:17] Jason: Ooh, look at Bobby’s just got it.

[22:07] Marlon: The first time, believe it or not, that I ever went out there was actually Bobby kidnapped me and took me to Vegas for the first time ever.

[22:16] Jason: Oh, that’s awesome.

[22:18] Bobby: It was awesome.

[22:19] Marlon: And it was fantastic, I’ll never forget it, and I think I thanked you about that, Bob, but thanks a lot, bud, that was a really good time.

[22:28] Jason: How long ago was that?

[22:32] Bobby: It’s gotta be 10 years at least.

[22:33] Marlon: At least, at least 10 years ago.

[22:35] Bobby: It was for his birthday, and we saw a show, do you remember the show we saw together?

[22:41] Marlon: Yeah, we saw a Cirque du Soleil.

[22:44] Bobby: Yes, the name?

[22:46] Marlon: I think it was Ka?

[22:47] Bobby: Ka, exactly, great show, at MGM, great show. And do you remember the dinner, which is in my memory forever, I took Marlon to one of these great steakhouses.

[22:59] Bobby: We’re sitting down, we get appetizers, main course comes, he gets short ribs, and I don’t know, man, it’s like he’s Houdini, he was gone.

[23:10] Bobby: Can you tell the people what happened?

[23:12] Jason: What, see what happened, you ducked out on the date or something?

[23:15] Marlon: All right, this is what happened.

[23:19] Marlon: So he took me to Vegas, now remember, I’m an East Coast guy, okay, never been out to the West Coast, and so something happened to my system, brother, that it didn’t adjust very well. And so, after I think 24 hours, we went out, he took me to this great steakhouse, and I felt a little odd.

[23:45] Marlon: And so we start to order dinner, and so I got this great short rib entree, now this just, the presentation, everything looked great, and so Bob got, I believe he got a filet.

[24:01] Bobby: I remember, he got a filet mignon.

[24:03] Marlon: A filet mignon. And so what happened was I said to myself, ’cause I don’t even think I said this to Bob, I said, “I’ll be back.”

[24:12] Marlon: And I left.

[24:17] Marlon: And I never came back.

[24:20] Bobby: This is a true story, I’m sitting there, I thought, “Okay, he had to go to the bathroom, cool.” Five minutes passes, I’m like, “Okay, five minutes, okay, 10 minutes, 20 minutes.” The waiter’s like, “Is your friend okay?” I’m like, “I don’t know.” So I went to look for him in the bathroom.

[24:39] Bobby: He wasn’t even there.

[24:40] Marlon: Right, yeah.

[24:41] Jason: Where’d you end up?

[24:42] Marlon: Well, what happened was, I went to the bathroom, and I don’t wanna say this on air, but I have to, I threw up a couple of times. And I was so bad off that I just said, “You know what, nix this, I’m going back up into the room.” But I never told Bob what happened.

[25:00] Bobby: No man, I didn’t know where he went.

[25:02] Marlon: And the poor guy is sitting there-

[25:04] Jason: I understand how Bob can make you nauseous sometimes.

[25:06] Bobby: Waiting. Oh yeah, well, here’s the thing, I ate my filet, and I got Marlon’s to go in a doggy bag, and I ended up tracking him down finally later, and he told me what happened. Of course I felt bad, it was, you know, shit happens, man.

[25:18] Jason: That’s love.

[25:20] Bobby: That’s good. But tell us some more of your current trips to Vegas, what are some of your favorite things in the city?

[25:25] Marlon: Well, the restaurants, number one, are the best, I have to say, for Vegas. And just honestly, just walking the Strip is mind-blowing to me, and I think to everybody, that’s the reason why tourism is so great in Vegas, there’s so much eye candy to see that you don’t wanna go to bed.

[25:48] Bobby: We talked about this before, that this is a great town for people watching.

[25:54] Marlon: If you are a people watcher, or a building watcher, or a hotel watcher, this is where you should be.

[26:01] Jason: So cruising on through this podcast here, Bobby, with Marlon is just pretty cool.

[26:06] Bobby: It’s just flying, man.

[26:07] Jason: I think when you’re having fun, time flies. And you know what, Marlon, you were the only one, maybe one other person, who knew about us doing this when we were getting it together.

[26:15] Bobby: Right.

[26:16] Jason: So what do you think? I mean, you’ll be honest with us, what do you think so far, hearing the shows?

[26:22] Marlon: Well, I think the show is, I was telling Bobby a couple of days back, I was listening to the show and I felt myself wanting to chime in.

[26:33] Marlon: Because the conversation was so great, and I felt like I had something to add to the conversation. And that’s the great thing about it, it sounds fun, you guys are bringing up great memories, you’re talking about great stuff from the past, and it’s great to just see you guys back together again after the old days.

[26:52] Marlon: And I thought to myself, “This is gonna be pure pleasure.”

[26:55] Bobby: I think we’re creating a little new magic, back in the day we were on the show, and this feels a little bit like the early days.

[27:05] Jason: Yeah, having you be a part of it too is just-

[27:07] Bobby: I mean, this is three-fourths of a marquee right here.

[27:11] Jason: Yeah, we gotta work on the fourth guy.

[27:11] Marlon: Absolutely, back in the day when we were kids, we hung out every day, we were at the show every day, it was just magic.

[27:20] Bobby: How did you feel about when we were throwing you around on the risers?

[27:24] Marlon: Hey man, I was just so happy to be a part of the family that you guys could have thrown me on a wall and it would’ve been fun for me.

[27:33] Bobby: Didn’t we have just too much fun?

[27:35] Jason: Yeah.

[27:36] Marlon: Yes.

[27:36] Bobby: When that Beastie Boys song came on, or that Poison song came on, or that Bon Jovi song came on, somehow the four of us, Joe White included, would just converge, we would find each other.

[27:48] Jason: Magnetism.

[27:50] Bobby: It was great.

[27:53] Marlon: It was awesome, really awesome, and I gotta tell you, it was my all-time best memories of my teenage years, that’s saying a lot.

[28:02] Bobby: I feel the same, man, I feel that. How do you feel about being in this first show?

[28:07] Marlon: Well, I’m looking down the line already, I’m just already thinking about all the shows we’re gonna do down the line.

[28:12] Bobby: Exactly, we have so much planned and so much coming, man, you just gotta stay tuned.

[28:17] Jason: Yeah, and everybody out there, hopefully you’re feeling just as nostalgic and the love that we’re feeling here.

[28:23] Jason: I mean, we go back and we watch these shows, there’s no part that we remember from being back there the same way that you, these two guys, the three of us, weren’t together, so it’s all-

[28:34] Bobby: Right, and keep in mind that this is very spontaneous, we don’t practice, I personally rather just have a conversation and keep it real.

[28:44] Marlon: Absolutely, no script, none of that, this is all pure conversation, this is great, magic.

[31:47] Bobby: “So the pictures don’t come out, ugh, I wanted to cry.” Patty, I wanna cry too. “Trip number two, Bob’s not there, that means I can’t get a picture.” More tears. “Trip three, seriously, I drop my camera while waiting in line and it breaks into a million pieces. What the fuck, she says, does someone hate me? Okay, here is my last chance, Bobby, do you remember your fan club luncheon?”

[32:15] Bobby: I do remember that, back in the day I had a fan club in Philly, and we had a luncheon. Anyway, she says, “Well, I do, and I saved up my money for tickets for this, my parents already said they were not driving me there, and I wasn’t gonna be able to go.”

[32:33] Bobby: Her mom and dad, they threw her under the bus.

[32:36] Bobby: So anyway, basically, in a nutshell, she never got that picture, and I’m sorry, but maybe in the future we’ll be able to do that. She says, “Thanks so much for the podcast and sharing all the memories, they are truly priceless, I love you guys.”
